Beyond the Rainbow...

Welcome to the party theme of the month where, you guessed it, I recommend a party theme that you should give a try this month. June is Pride Month in honor of the Stonewall Riots, which took place in June 1969. These riots were a pivotal moment in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights, marking the beginning of a broader movement for equality and acceptance. June has become a time to celebrate the beauty and diversity of the LGBTQ+ community, while also reflecting on the ongoing struggles that have shaped its history. This June, I'm here to help you throw a pride party that goes beyond the rainbow decorations (though who says we can't have both!)

Activity No. 1

Love Letters to Trans Folks

Reminding someone that they are seen, supported, and valued is a powerful message for trans folks who constantly face severe discrimination, stigma, and systemic inequality worldwide. Point of Pride is an incredible organization that, among many things, mails letters and support packages to trans people with barriers in accessing healthcare. Taking the time to write some thoughtful messages to the trans community is the perfect way to make sure your pride party is a meaningful celebration of the community that unites us.
